Andy is a kind and gentle soul with an open heart, who enjoys life to its fullest extent by sharing meals with friends or flying kites. Andy also appreciates poetry deeply; especially Ross Gay’s works for their sensitivity, creativity and verve. When not writing or swimming he can often be found eating milk chocolate and enjoying other activities.
Andy is a man of many talents and an engaging entertainer, but is also an accomplished artist. His drawings are in high demand and have won multiple awards including the highest honor of merit at Art Directors Club of New York. Additionally, he has written numerous children’s books which have been translated into over 15 different languages.
Though often ignorant to issues related to class and race, Andy remains fundamentally a good guy at heart. Although he gives people unwanted nicknames and boasts about his Ivy League education, Andy never resorts to anything malicious or spiteful when challenged or provoked.
As a child, he idolized Elvis Presley and rock bands like Deep Purple and Uriah Heep. However, as he matured he developed more interest in drawing than rock music, starting to create his own style as well as writing songs which he sang at parties. By 1978 he joined “Planet Music”, making demos which were discovered by DJ’s such as Frits Spits and Adje Roland which lead to him scoring his top 40 hit single: “Ik Mis Je”.
Andy enjoys playing sports such as basketball and soccer when not writing or painting, swimming, flying kites and making roast chicken. Andy has an appreciation for poetry; particularly inspired by poet Ross Gay’s sensitive, generous and specific work. However, Andy does have several peeves, including milk chocolate and wet socks which he finds quite distasteful.
Andy is a 10-year-old boy in Toy Story movies who must leave behind his toys (Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Hamm, Slinky Dog and Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head). Although his slightly aged mother expresses regret over this development, Woody assures Andy that they will always belong to him and will reside in his attic until it’s time for them to come home from college.
